Upcycling
Grace works with clients to upcycle their clothes, turning unwearable or unwanted textiles into something new and improved.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Replacing whole panels with new fabric
Creating modular/removable pieces
Adding insets to create volume
Turning an old sheet or large piece of fabric into something wearable
Removing or adding sleeves
Turning pants into shorts
See examples below, and send any inquiries to egracenewcomb@gmail.com.
Patchwork
Grace used hundreds of small cuttings from fabric recycling company Fabscrap to construct the below jacket, shirt, and bucket hats, creating a beautiful and unique patchwork textile made from swatches that would have otherwise gone to landfill.
