About

Grace Newcomb is an eco-conscious fashion designer based out of Brooklyn, New York. She specializes in hand & machine embroidery, apparel mending, and upcycling.

Grace operates her current business at a small scale, working individually with clients to customize pieces in their wardrobe through a variety of techniques, such as embroidery, dying, or reconstruction. She uses natural dyes, deadstock and recycled materials, and sources locally whenever possible. For project and event inquiries please see the contact page.

Credentials

Grace graduated from Tulane University and Parsons School of Design with degrees in Environmental Biology and Fashion Design, creating the perfect intersection of conservation and design that is needed at the forefront of the sustainable fashion movement.

After school, Grace worked for a handful of mass-market companies in New York, opening her eyes to how much damage the global fashion market does to our environment. This prompted her to enroll for the Sustainable Design Entrepreneurs program at F.I.T., where she gained a better understanding of the problems within the fashion industry, and how we can work to solve them.
